Mutuality: A global missions partnership is between equals who depend on God to help them accomplish together that which cannot be accomplished alone. Both parties must be willing to contribute to the partnership’s success in various ways. |

Compatibility: Cornerstone seeks global missions partners who are of “kindred spirit” with respect to our vision, mission, and values. |
| Relationship: A successful global missions partnership is relationally-driven, built on regular communication, mutual visits, growing understanding, intercultural sensitivity, and trust. | |
Ownership: Each global missions partnership requires a Cornerstone “owner” or point-person who is committed to consistently invest in that partnership for the long-term through regular communication and visitation. Each owner should be characterized by passion, calling, and availability for such a role, and will be encouraged to form a long-term team to assist in supporting the partnership. The Global Missions Planning team will seek the development of such leaders, providing training and support opportunities for them. |

Cultural Liaison: Each Cornerstone global missions partner church (or parachurch ministry) needs to be able to offer at least one committed “cultural liaison” capable of communicating effectively with the Cornerstone “owner” and short-term mission trip leaders. |

Dependency Avoidance: Any global missions partnership must guard against the dangers of outside money, material, labor, and advice contributing to crippling dependency and disempowerment. Click here for a great article to learn more about this important subject! |

Integrity and Accountability: All global missions partnerships must be founded on a full commitment to the disclosure of both the activities and the use of funds that are integral to the project. CRA guidelines will be followed.
